Approximately 150 of these rifles were build by Nippes in either .36 or .44 calibre.

This rare carbine is calibre .52 and was made by Nippes for the U.S. Government firearms trial of 1850.

Model 1850 Variant.
This rifle was produced by A. S. Nippes and is an attempt to improve the gas check system.The action is unique, as the vertical block is dropped and a second block is fitted with a copper gasket drops horizontally. The calibre is .50 with a 30 inch barrel.
